Try This Out, Maybe.
This Site - http://www.echoecho.com/tooldropdown.htm - Has a tool to create drop-down menu links to external sites. It's very easy to use. Part of the resulting code is a script that goes into the Header section of your blog template. The other part goes on your sidebar (or wherever you would like the menu to be seen).
My hesitation is that I don't quite understand the script, and oddities began occuring on my blog after I added it to the template. (The page didn't load correctly.) So I link to it here with that caveat. Later, I'll try to parse the script and figure out exactly what it does.... Later!

Thanks! I found another one, as well... I'll try to send it to you later. So far, I've only figured out how to use it for my blogroll and for the Alliance blogroll... But it works perfectly.
Please just the tried and tested. I do want a drop-down, so I can have my old posts more organized. But I'm proud to say that I got a regular "old posts" onto my sidebar in http://samizdatblogfree.blogspot.com/
It seems like the template doesn't come equipped. I've noticed other blogs with the same template and no list. Here's how I did it.

You know, I think this code does work fine, after all. On my home computer, for some reason, Blogger pages won't load unless I hit "Refresh". I thought it might be tied to this script, but it's not.
The page loading problem seems to be limited to my home computer, and since I share that with two teenagers (to whom I have been forced to conceed Administrator rights), I have NO IDEA what's been done to that poor computer.

For the dropdown menus, how did you come up with this part of the code - onchange="document.location.href=this.options[this.selectedIndex].value;"> - and what exactly does it do?
Thanks
Join the fun!
